Congratulations to the entire RCG&A Team, Robert Gottlieb, Paul Townsend, and Kaylee Kreitenberg, as well as Joel Rudin and Jacob “Coby” Loup for their exceptional work that resulted in an Albany County judge vacating our client’s conviction for Manslaughter in the First Degree and ordering a new trial. We are grateful to Justice McDonough for upholding the fundamental principles of justice that serve as the foundation for the right to a fair trial. Our client was indicted for Murder in the Second Degree and acquitted after a bench trial but convicted of Manslaughter in the First Degree. Our motion for a new trial was based on disturbing violations of our client’s fundamental right to a fair trial that resulted in an unjust conviction.
