Robert C. Gottlieb Attends "Shirley" Premiere in LA

Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm's 1972 presidential campaign for the presidency is now the subject of the Netflix movie, “Shirley” starring Regina King as Shirley Chisholm, Lance Reddick, Terrence Howard, Christina Jackson as Barbara Lee and Lucas Hedges as Robert Gottlieb. Mr. Gottlieb had the privilege to serve as Shirley Chisholm’s National Student Coordinator during her historic campaign traveling throughout the country organizing students to vote for her in the primaries. He had the surreal experience of being invited to the Hollywood premiere of the movie last week and walking the red carpet with the extraordinary actors who brought Mrs. Chisholm’s audacious and courageous battle for justice and equality to life on the big screen.
